Growing demand signals confidence in Matrix and U.S.-built UAS manufacturing scale.
Tandem Defense announced multiple new contract awards and unit orders supporting U.S. manufacturing and accelerated fielding of NDAA-compliant drone components and systems.
These wins reinforce Tandem’s core mission: deliver sustainable, affordable, tactical-level capability at speed—with a domestic supply chain that can scale with operational demand.
Tandem Defense has recently secured contract awards supporting defense manufacturing and tactical drone supply, including:
Peregrine Technologies — Peregrine is known for their stealth, speed, and user-friendliness in drone platforms. Their 2026 goals include lowering costs, dedicating to US Sourcing only, and increasing scale. Peregrine and Tandem Defense entered into a component manufacturing and delivery contract in early 2026 to support their growth and to enable their customers to train, deploy, and win with drones as a part of their formations. This contract includes an initial delivery of 2,500 systems by April of 2026.
LMI, Inc. — LMI, Inc. has been tasked with enabling the Department of War to scale drone production efficiently in support of the Drone Dominance program. As such, Tandem Defense and LMI, Inc. entered into a teaming agreement in early 2026 for the production, delivery, and support of drone components and platforms through the UAS as a Service Platform.
Orbital Composites — Orbital Composites, a US Military contract awardee for sustainable production and manufacturing at the tactical-edge, has recently unveiled a comprehensive line of drones that can be 3D printed at the point of need. These platforms will be powered by the Matrix Architecture to promote a strong, resilient, US Supply Chain with unmatched performance and modularity.
L3Harris — L3 Harris, known for communications technology and ancillary equipment, has recently unveiled a line of fiber drones developed in association with the Tandem Defense Executive Leadership. In addition to a long-time partnership on fiber-optic, unjammable, and undetectable platforms, L3 Harris has recently launched a series of US Made, small form-factor, and convenient fiber platforms powered by the Matrix Architecture. L3 Harris is considered a front-runner for the Drone Dominance Program.
ADS, Inc. — A long-term partner and a company dedicated to the seamless procurement, delivery, and customer-service of products for the tactical-level. As a mission-set that is close to home for us, we have recently produced a custom line of drones that addresses their customer’s specific needs and requirements.
These contract wins represent a major step forward in Tandem’s strategy to become a partner for business entities, end-users, and allies of all kinds alike.
Tandem Defense has also received direct unit and training-center demand, starting off 2026 on a good note, including:
National Training Center (NTC) — $750,000 contract for drone training systems
25th Infantry Division — $500,000 order for drone capability delivery
These awards reinforce a clear trend: units and training centers are moving toward NDAA-compliant, domestically supported drone ecosystems.
They also prove that the future belongs to organizations that can deliver domestic scaling, modular architecture, repeatable production, sustainment models that don’t collapse after first fielding
As demand rises, Tandem Defense is committed to inventorying components to mitigate availability and delivery risk. In preparation for 2026, we have inventoried over 100,000 units, entered into new production agreements, and begun scaling toward 83,333 units manufactured per month, which we expect to achieve by the end of 2026.
Tandem’s manufacturing coalition is scaling quickly, and field demand is accelerating faster than the legacy ecosystem can respond. Tandem Defense is postured to assist anyone in the Department of War enterprise for a long time to come.
